The passenger presence sensor changed at some point - not sure when, but when I put 2010 seats in my 2007 I had to swap them over.
Power seats only require a supply, the controls are all within the seat. I tapped into the rear accessory socket for mine.

Luckily (I hope) I grabbed a seat from an 06 and another from 07, for my 08, Both vehicles had a good seat and a bad one. So maybe I won't end up with the sensor problem.the color is a pretty good match considering.

I grabbed the heated seat module from console think the wiring might already be in the harness in all the vehicles, but not used. Gonna be more of a pita to hook that up I guess.

Any of you guys know whats involved? Hopin its pretty straightforward.

Thanks for that rollercoaster ride OB. At first I thought...I'm screwed, but the seats were only $150 and no biggie if the heaters go unused. Then I thought well the new panel is 2LT...yes. but they have cloth seats that never have heaters...back to no go.

Now it sounds like its 50/50 with being pre wired. Guess I'll find out at the install. I'm hedging that wires are already there. Thanks again OB.

This forum might get a little redundant seeing as theres no more production, but I'll tell you, the mods and techs here are the most dedicated bunch on the interwebs...thats a nod to you OB, donbrew, and the others. Although these are just my work panels, I treat them like Ferrari s cuz they never let me down, and offer everything I need. Def an under appreciated vehicle.

Too bad gmmgr isn't here anymore, a lot of peeps here would pick his brain into oblivion

You could stick your hand under the seat and check for a vacant pigtail. You should be able to see if you pull the seat all the way up.

I have a question that has probably been answered elsewhere... but I'm going to ask it here. I have done a search (and I thought it was good one), but have not found the answer to my question yet.

I am wondering if any of the LS trim HHR's came wired to directly plug in a power seat on the drivers side?

The HHR Panel I just picked up was used as a cleaning service vehicle and both front seats are extremely filthy, and even some burn holes.
A walk through the junk yard this past weekend did not yield any gray manual seats, so maybe I could do an easy upgrade.
(There is a bit of irony in the level of filth that was on the inside of this HHR that was used by a cleaning service...)

Thanks for checking out my post!
