Lookin' to take a 2000 mile (round-trip) Road trip this Spring. I have an 06 HHR LT (2.4).... what kinds of things should I have done before I leave besides the obvious oil change?

 

A map that has all the best watering holes marked along the way!

 

Fresh coat of wax!! Will help w/ bug removal.





Oh yeah, and the other obvious things also, check all fluid levels and tire pressure.

 

Make sure tire pressure is where it should be,don't forget the spare, check all fluid levels, be sure brakes are OK. and don't forget about the new seat belt law

Put Rain-X on all of your windows and Lower and upper Headlights to give you a Good & Clean and Bright View while driving at night and like the others said a Good Wax Job will help a lot. a Good Map, Portable GPS System, cell phone and lots of Money. Remember do not Drink & Drive and as the others stated all of the above statements by MWG2, jx3 and an08HHR and have Fun and a safe trip.
