Welcome to the site, a pick a part yard for a used HHR roof rack would fit best, most aftermarket roof racks require drip rails to attach their product to the roof, then there’s the question where do you tie off the kayaks?

I suggest the possibility of no permanent rack at all. Foam blocks and straps. A friend just bought such a system. Don’t know how well it’ll work on an HHR.

No, that has foam blocks you set on the roof then the cargo, then tie it down. No holes or drilling required

And you can’t argue with the price. Probably not the best solution for paddling every weekend, but for once in awhile, or until a permanent solution is found.
