Has anyone carried a kayak on their HHR roof rack? I added a Thule cross bars to the factory rack but am concerned about the warning in the Owner's Manual that warns against carrying items longer than the roof rack. The weight of the kayak, at 60lbs is well below the capacity of the racks but I don't want to damage the roof.
