Rotor nut size

Am sure this has been posted, but cannot find. Does anyone know the size of the nut that must be removed to take off the rotors? There was a very nice post on "how-to" that covers everything, but nut size not listed. I have a 1 1/4" and a 1", but neither right. Assume it will be 1 1/8, but can someone verify, as I need to purchase tomorrow. Thanks.

you do not need to remove the axle nut to remove the brake rotor. you only need to remove the brake caliper and caliper bracket, then the rotor will fall off

Thanks - I seem to be living in the past. Seems we used to have to take it off. By the way, do any of you have a little "play" in your wheel - front to back (not side to side)? Say, 1/2 inch ?

yeah, these don't have hubbed rotors. it just slips over the wheel studs. there are these annoying little clip things that hold the rotor in place though, and they can be a paint to get off...mine ended up destroyed, but they don't have any rel purpose anyway. once the caliper is back in place the rotor stays put anyway.
