Run a VIN?

Is there anyone that has a Carfax or something similar account that can run Grimm's VIN for me? I'm mostly just curious to see where he's been before I adopted him.

You mean you purchase a preowned vehicle and didn't get it along with the purchase, or before committing?

If it was from a dealer, ask the dealer. I believe they get group discounts. Wouldn't cost them much.

Or just pony up the $25 and get one for yourself.

Under any other circumstance I absolutely would... but I just dropped $450 on a deposit to rent a new townhouse, and I'm broke for a bit

I thought you bought Grimm new.

If it's used, the dealer was supposed to provide you with one of those used vehicle information packages that the MTO requires.
