I really appreciate this forum. Even digging through the archives I have a couple of questions.
How did the factory install the coolant? When I installed a replacement radiator, I filled the system with what I had drained, put most of the rest in the reservoir, and ran down the road a mile. Temp got up to 215 coming home so I shut down and coasted. Another time to got the reservoir empty, but the system still wasn't full. Topped it off and added some to the reservoir, now it seems stable. I think that is the recommended 3 burps. The factory must have had a simpler method.
Next subject:
Torque vs Torque-lite. Is Torque worth the $5 to use with a bluetooth OBD adapter and my android phone?
Thanks.
Bill
The factory & Dealers use a Pump system, hook to one hose, load coolant (Dex-CooL) into the pump & the other hose to the collection machine. They pump it thru.
We can park on an incline to get the (front end) rad higher than the engine. Worst thing would be to trap air in the head. With rad higher the air tends to gravitate to the highest point.

Very well put about how the factory does it.
On a production line you don't have time to run an engine up to operating temp to "burp" the system.
Time is money.
