Well, seeing how you are up and around, feeling well enough to post, you can heave a big sigh of relief. Although it looks like hell, the car did what it was supposed to do. It took the brunt of the energy and saved your ass. Cars are replaceable, people are not.

So, as the Captain said, here's one for you and your HHR

I bet a 2007 would look real sharp in your driveway.

OUCHHhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I'm glad your ok. I'm sure the car could either be fixable/replaced. I like the before shots. Especially the one with the mountains behind it.

Yep- it would have been at least 20% less traumatic if it had been all dirty and looked like heck when it was gobsmacked.
Go ahead and indulge your grief with another couple of pints. We're going to toss a few back in your honor today, too.

At least now you know what you want and don't want on your '07, should it come to that. Best wishes... and sympathies, too.

I like them too. But the new front end mod in the after pics....not so much! Don't think I do that mod unless some idiot makes me!

Seriously though, Good to hear your okay. And as someone else stated here, the vehicle did what was intended, protected its occupants.

What is funny the longer I had the amethyst the more I like it. I was even looking alrady online for an 07 (in case they total it) in the same color.
I think the reason I like it is that I do not see many of them on the road.
