If I find an HHR in/among the bone-yard offerings that has -remote start- listed among it's qualities, what would I need to pull from the carcass to transfer that advantage to my non-equipped car?
Is it even possible to strip the OE system from a donor car? Or is the wiring harness (among other aspects) integral and basically too involved to remove & transfer?

 

BCM, hood latch switch and wiring, several other peripheral bits and pieces , then program it. Not worth the effort.
