Saying Goodbye to My HHR

After 4 and 1/2 years of fun and enjoyment, it was time to trade HHRvey so another family could enjoy him. HHRvey has now been replaced by Vern, as in Vern L. Equinox.

Back in 2009, when the 2010 Equinox's were being previewed, I knew when the time came, I would trade HHRvey in for a 2010 or 2011 Equinox. I have a base model 'Nox, but it really has almost everything I had in HHRvey as a 1LT. Same gas milage as well.

2010 'Nox's have been hard to come by, and Chevy is not really offering incentives on them right now. Let me say I got an excellent trade-in price on HHRvey as he only had 33,000 miles on him, was garage kept, with very few dings other than the dimple from closing the back hatch. If you are looking to trade in your HHR for a Nox, it might be beneficial at this time.

I do plan to stay on the HHR Forums. As an original owner of a first year HHR(2006,) I might be able to provide helpful info. I loved HHRvey from the day I literally drove him off the showroom floor in January 2006. I still smile every time I pass an HHR. Continue to enjoy your ride, and I will stay in touch!

Glad the trade worked out for you. You will love the Equinox. It will be my wifes next vehicle too.

HHRvey, like you I am an original owner. Best of luck on the new vehicle, don't be a stranger drop by now and then.

I bought an Equinox also. It is a well built vehicle and a base model costs about the same as a loaded HHR. Here is a good Equinox forum.

We plan to buy a Nox too once they start dealing on price. I refuse to pay what they want now. I will wait them out and get my price.

We will replace the wifes car with one.

I have many miles in a 2010 already and you will like it. It is one of the best all around new Chevys and a very good vehicle.

Also another original owner going on 5 years. The wife and I are looking to trade for something a bit bigger also. Going to see if we can work out a 2 car trade for a 2010 Infiniti QX56.

Hope you don't mind answering a question or 2 via PM.

I use to have one of the first year Noxs. AWD version was a BEAST in the snow. Nice car, kept it for my 3 year lease then back it went. I think it may have been better overall in the snow than any of my various 4x4 trucks. But boy did it like gasoline. The FWD version my parents got later was much leaner on its gasoline habit.
