I noticed yesterday that with the car off, the passenger door (And so I presume the other passenger doors) can open and it will still play (without a chime if I remember right) until the driver door is open.

Dude, just wear the belt. You don't want to ride with me before your time.

Got my HHR on order [black, of course].

Cool

I'm in my HHR with a seat belt on and ten Harley riders pass me going 75 mph. Now here is my gripe ,no helmets ,tank tops, shorts and sandles . Seat belts should be a choice, not forced by a law.

Make sure you cut the correct wire. If you cut the wrong one by accident, just reattach it with a butt connector and try again.
Hope it helps,
So if i cut the dark green wire, the Onstar will not work?
you said it transmits the GM serial LAN data.

Everything goes trough the radio. Here is a tidbit kinda on this topic, if your enter your hhr trough the passenger side door and start your car w/ radio on, turn off car and exit trough passenger side the radio stays on. On mine anyway, anyone else try this?

The radio will turn off 10-minutes after the ignition is switched off - or when the driver's door is opened. This is to prevent excessive battery drain.

It's in the owner's manual.
