Service Manual
I have in pdf. For free.
Here it is from GoOgle first result: https://www.onlymanuals.com/chevrolet/hhr
A little more digging will find Mitchell OnDemand and AllData for free.
Those CDs on ebay are ripoffs. You are paying $20 for a $0.10 blank CD. Technically stolen copyright, if you care about that.
The 2006 version is pretty serviceable if you know what you are looking at. The 2.2L has a unique ignition system, 2009-2011 2.2L are close enough to 2006 2.4L. A couple of the wire harnesses a slightly different.

Helm inc is the only copyright owner for GM manuals. Ebay does not control content. The 2006 Shop Manual has been floating around since 2005. Many bootleggers have sold the manual on CD, it is very easy to burn PDFs to a CD. The entire manual is less than 700 MB, very easy to store on a HD or USB thumb drive. Nobody uses CD anymore, can't get a new computer with a CD/DVD drive.
The bad thing about the CD that is generally sold is that it was made with an early version of PDF that is not searchable. Maybe, somebody has made a better version now.

eBay did ZERO about it. Mitchell though went after them.
