Shift indicater recall

I received a card from Chevrolet stating that my 2009 HHR has been recalled for the shift indicator possibly indicating the wrong gear. Has anyone take their HHR in for this recall? If so what is the fix. My HHR indicates the gears correctly do I need to have it looked at? I have had other vehiles at a dealer for recalls and the quality of the work was poor. This was not the dealer for my HHR but if there is no problem is worth taking it to the dealer for a possibility of poor quality work?

Purely a guess, but that sounds like a sensor malfunction?
I received a recall card for "head impact protection" or something along those lines...anyone know what this is for?

If the condition occurs, the vehicle would roll when in park. So you might want to have it checked. It is afterall, free.
