Should I sell my Used Tires?
My wife bought HHectoR, a 2008 LS, a few months ago with 16k miles on it.
The morons that had it before NEVER rotated the tires (Firestone Affinity 215-55R16), so the fronts were pretty wore out. To make matters worse, one of the fronts had a slow leak which they never fixed, and eveidently drove alot with it low on air, causing even more wear on the outsides of that one. I rotated the tires immediately and reset the TPMS. But I'm still concerned because now I have fronts with 8/32nds, one rear with 4/32nds, and one rear with 5/32nds. Firestone says this tire came originally with 12/32nds, and is considered junk at 3/32nds.
I am thinking of replacing all 4 tires (havent decided what brand yet). My question is, should I keep the two 8/32nds tires and sell them on craigslist? For how much $? Or would this be more trouble than it's worth. The tire stores here charge to dispose of old tires (state law) but I don't think it's more than a buck or two. I don't have any interest in converting to a fullsize spare, not sure it would fit in the well and seems like it'd be awful heavy to drag out of there if it was needed. Thanks for any opinions.

Some tire stores will take a trade in on good used tires. I know I was able to get $40 or so for one tire when I had one ruined by a nail. I decided to replace two tires, and the shop actually gave me the credit on the good tire.
