Thanks CH... I enjoyed it with the aftermarket fiberglass parts. I've always got to be different. The 18's looked sweet and handled well but it was a headache watching out for every small pot-hole in the road...
While parked at a redlight, I was rear ended in Houston by a drunken woman and it pushed me into the car stopped in from of me... The car was 10 days old and I had just put the new license plates on that day... It was only cosmetic damage so it was time for an appearance upgrade...
Of course she had no insurance...

I'm currently working on a twin turbo'd EFI351 based Lincoln Mark VII from 1985. I mostly hang out at http://www.fordvschevy.com/forum/index.php under the Hot Rod Lincolns forum. Hence, my user ID being carried over here... I'm shopping for an HHR for my son who turned 16 last June... This will be his third car (none wrecked) in his first year of driving... "Like Father, Like Son"... What can I say, I love cars - of all kinds...
Nice! My buddy Scott has a 89' Mark VII with a 5.0 HO. He refuses to do anything with it but leave it stock no matter how much I bug him. Mark VII's make a perfect sleeper car. Do you have pictures up on the other forum? I would like to check out your project. Your an awesome father, I wish someone would have helped me get a car!
Yeah, the Lincoln Mark VII was a leader in innovation. It was produced from 1984-1992. Back in the 80's, they cost over 30 grand... They were pricey but were the first car to have composite headlights which are on most every car today. Also, they had the air ride system 20 years ago which is being emulated by many today. 4 wheel disc brakes and a standard 5.0 HO motor doesn't hurt either... A true Luxury Sport Coupe made to compete with the BMW market... Here's a link to my current turbo build with some pictures. She's supposed to get paint this weekend but it might get postphoned a few days...
Here's a link showing twin turbo installation and 3" exhaust system and intercooler setup:

Hey LandShark, thanks for sharing the pic! Did you do the install of the products on the PT or did someone do it for ya? If you did it yourself, what was the difficulty level? And if someone else did the install (if you don't mind me asking) how much did it cost? I like the sound of your lateset project, keep us in the loop! Thanks!

I did it myself... it was a breeze. Ordered the parts from Pteazer.com... I put them on for a test fit... I did just a tiny bit of grinding and sanding where it was needed. Next, I took them off and to a local paint shop... It was $400 for the painting if I remember correctly... I installed the stuff again and I was good to go... On a scale of 1-10... I'd rate it a 4.5 - It took just basic hand tools. I used a die grinder with a rasp bit to do minor cleanup on the fiberglass parts where needed but it could have been done with a sander or even sandpaper by hand...

Did you have reason for the cowl hood or was it just for looks?
