So I got my hopes up...

I'm just sitting here at work, nothing much going on as it's 2 days before Christmas and we are really slow. The PDI tech comes over and tells me we just got a transport in with a couple of HHR's on it. So cruise back there and he starts laughing, and tells me none of them are orange So I stand by and watch them unload a silver one and a maroon one. Damn I got giddy as a fat girl in a candy store for a minute.

you are just as set on orange as I was. I only had to wait 3 days for mine and I got my gm discount and the extended warranty for 400 bucks

To me it's the only color that truly stands out on them. I had it narrowed down the black, white, dark silver, and orange. My Camaro was maroon, so I didn't want another one that color. The sanddust doesn't stand out enough, the blue was to purply in some lights, the purple was way to purple, to hot for black in AZ, i thought white would not stand out enough, so I was trying to decide between the dark silver and the orange. I have always wanted a car in the Sunburst orange, I almost bought a new Camaro in it when they came out in the color in 2000, but decided against it. Then the more I saw the dark silver, it just wasn't dark enough. When you think about old hotrods which is kinda what the HHR is suppose to be loosely styled after they are generally crazy, bright colors so the orange made sense to me, so I ordered an orange one.

DISCLAIMER: If you drive an HHR in one of the above mentioned colors, don't take it personal I didn't choose the color of your car, don't want this to turn into a thread about me not liking certain colors on the HHR, like some other threads.

Hey that's my thread your talking about and you didn't choose the same color as me you d**k!.......... Just playin'! My first choice was black but I decided to go with dark silver. The orange is cool and appears to be my older daughters favorite color of HHR. It was a little to bright for my liking but a nice choice. Hopefully you'll be driving it soon!

Becasue I bought what was on the Lot and knew nothing about the car. If the Daytona Blue Metallic was automatic I would of drove it off the lot. But becasue they had a 2LT only in Silverstone Metallic. That became my choice.

I don't remember your thread. Just seems like every other thread I post in expressing my opinion about something, somebody takes it personal. No biggie I was just being a smart ass with my disclaimer.

I know I was just just kidding. The thread I was refering to was,"Does anyone have a majestic amethyst HHR?". Pretty funny stuff. BTW I got a kick out of the disclaimer. I'm always a smart a**, I can't help it.
