I just purchased a 2008 1lt panel in black. I replaced the grill, put in a k@n filter and a tornado, removed the storage compartment to get a bit more room. The all black with no chrome appeals to me more. Very clean and uniform. The only things not black are the grill and Chevy emblems.
Nice to have a forum on this vechicle.

In black, the monotone would probably look sharp. However, I really like how even the satin finish door handles on most colors add contrast. The 2008 I saw looked like a base model because there was no chrome. Just my opinion!
