Soon To Be Sittin Low

Thanks to Mike at SocalHHR. I called to ask about the back order on the gold-line springs. He tells me the entire reason why they are on back order. BUMMER for me but I can wait i think lol. I must say great service and info. I told him that sooner or later I will order the air bags but not yet. He then told me about some of the other back order things and how we all think that the people who make this stuff underestimated the HHR. FOOLS I cant wait to get my springs and my "stubby" god time to ditch the LOOOOOOONG thing in the middle of the car lol. Thanks again. We need more people like him here on the East coast.

I'll be the first to stand up for Craig at Gold-Line. He's a great guy and cares more for the end user than many at other companies I know. Like other companies, Gold-Line has underestimated the demand for HHR parts - but to add to the confusion, they just moved their entire facility from Chino (Can you say "The OC"), to Ranch Cucamonga. That was a HUGE undertaking and in the shuffle they lost track of how low they were getting on HHR springs. Unfortunately by the time they got in and settled, they discovered they were out. It takes time to manufacture the springs as they have to be scheduled in with everything else (they make springs for LOTS of cars).

From the time they ran out to the time we are expecting the next shipment was only 6 weeks. Let me tell you that is lightning speed compared to some manufacturers I work with. (Some give me turnaround times like 10-12 weeks!) I always "push" them as hard as possible though. Sometimes it pays off - we weren't supposed to get the sway bars until the end of May, and they shipped on May 12th. I've been in close contact with CGS and it looks like we might have the new intake done by the end of this week (originally set for June 12th) - and it will fit the 2.2L as well. Things don't always work out like this, but it's great when they do!

Hang in there - Gold-Line is doing the best they can for us...

Not that hard at all - email me your address and the color you want (yellow or dark silver). I'll get them out to you...

Mike I wasn't ripping on Craig but rather the person behind the inventory. In this age of computers how could they not know when they are out of something?I understand the move could have caused delays but to actually run out of springs just seems novice to me..

I wish I would have received the silver Goldline decals as I may have actually used those..

Yes SindyDix Def gonna be worth the wait. Again thanks mike for all the help the other day on the phone. Top notch if ya ask me. He didnt even try to push any thing else on me like hey we got a great deal on this. If i wasnt looking 4 it in the 1st place why would some one even try lol. I know some shops when i was rebuilding my 75 monte were like oh hey it would be sick if u added this. I HATE that with a passion. I know they are trying to help but again WASNT looking 4 it.
