Size: 5.6 KB to the site Art!!! Some have stated that vent visors help some. Did you try to crack the front window just a tad?

I think that there are more that don't have this "problem" than there are with it.

It's a bad idea to let your dog hang her head out the window.
It dries out their eyes or they can get dirt in 'em.

I really don't know what you all are talking about in this topic..LOL.....maybe because I don't fool with Wheelie rear windows, they remain closed, the only time i open them is when I am outside on my house lot and just spending time inside Wheelie and listening to church music, I open all of his windows to get the most outside air in. =)

Hi and welcome.
As others mentioned the HHR is not unique in this phenomenon. Hope you decide on the HHR because it is one heck of a car with a great bang for the buck

Is it perfect, no but no car one can afford to drive is perfect. It is the coolest grocery getter out there and a fun showy car at all times

Oh, I eliminate most of the window pulsation by opening our sunroof a bit. It usually makes things all better

, I don't have the sunroof. I usually just open the front windows a bit and the drumming goes away. You may have to find the right mix of front to back window openings but it does go away. A good fix for this would be tip out rear side windows. The car is cool, if you like it otherwise, buy it. It gets good mileage and has enough power for most people. Its not a rocket but If you were looking for a rocket, you wouldn't be looking at a 2.2L or 2.4L station wagon/SUV. Good Luck with your decision.

This is a common issue with most 4 doors. It usually only happens when one window is lowered. We noticed this with our odyssey and out MPV. It also went away if the dogs head was out the window (Rottweiler). Shape of the vehicle is the key. A boxier style catches the wind.

Come to think of it, this is the first 4 door vehicle I've owned.
Funny, I had a '98 Sidekick and experienced the same kind of roar I have with my HHR. Then again, my '98 was a 4-door hardtop...
