Strong adhesive needed....

This past Friday I noticed the billet bumper cover had popped back up. I used a 2 part epoxy to seat it down. Well, it didn't work.

I'm looking for some suggestions on something that will hold this thing down in place with a short working time. There is no way I can figure out how to clamp something on there to hold it in place. It's not hard to line it up and drop it in place and hold for a few minutes, but with the thickness, I need to either get it milled down for better flexability or something strong.

3M Super 90 or above 77 won't work. Liquid nails will break down, and disinegrates with water, even after curing.-- funny story attached to that knowledge.

Get some stainless bolts and polish them up. I've got some stainless bolts here at work, but you would have polish them to give them that shine.

I think your talking about a billet piece for the top side of your rear bumper? The first thing is you need to make sure that it sits flat on the bumper surface! If it doesn't you may have to lay it over your thigh and gently press the ends to obtain the correct contour. If the ends want to spring loose or up not much will hold it down just short of bolting it down! If you are successful getting it to sit flat 3m makes a tape called VHB that we have had great luck with. Make sure you get the thicker type as it is flexable to contours.....

ps; denatured alcohol to prep the surface.....

I can get it to sit flat with little effort, but yes the spring reaction is causing it to pull up at the ends.

EDIT: I just googled this and it looks like the 3M trim mounting tape. Is this stronger than that?

but the key is to have no spring action if possible... let me look at the trim tape you posted! The tape I have was like five bucks for the roll, tap plastics..
