Cool Summer trip info

I Just got back from a week s vacation to Myrtle Beach and my Ginger ran and preformed almost flawlessly. The 2.2 had plenty of power with 4 people and loaded with gear. I averaged 30 mph could have done better but was crusing for a good part above 75. Good ride, ICE COLD A/C ,pretty quite and even did well in hard driving rain storm for over 2 hours without the slightest loose feeling. The only problem I noticed was the dreaded brake rotor pulsing, If I had my tools I would have changed them right there. I only saw 3 other HHR's in Myrtle and 2 more on the way home. I also ran into a guy that saw me getting into my car and he told me he was considering getting one . I told him to check out this website and then get one he won't be sorry. PS about the brakes has anyone tried the rotors from Auto Zone or Advanced Auto?

I'm also interested in any information members might have regarding aftermarket rotors. I don't wanna replace mine only to have the same problem.

I have a 2008 with 7k miles on it and its not a problem yet but even at this early time, I can detect the faintest of vibration. I'm kinda a nut and in tune with my rides... and I'm pretty sure its the rotor problem.

I've heard that this is covered under warranty?

I think he meant the average speed readout on the DIC-- mine seems stuck on always indicating 27mph as avg speed.

I did mean MPG just a slip of the finger. My hands were still numb from that crappy sporters that I rented while there.
