Surprise, Surprise!

The nutty guy who collects HHR SSs picked up another one this weekend.

2010 SS automatic with 180K miles.

Almost no rust on the car, even the undercarriage. Only the two gas tank straps are rusting (will replace for $24 at Rock Auto).

Your 2010 SS is stored away for the winter, never to be driven in snow or salt. It's the prize HHR SS of my collection.

Nice snag. Mildly jealous. I'm on the hunt for a decent SS automatic my wife can drive, to go with my 5-sp.

Talking

Hay, I might be selling mine come April.
Black & very fast...LOL

I will have had it for 15 years , with 44,500 miles on it.
That's 3,000 miles a year...
I guess that it's broken in now...LOL

We are snowbirds & spend Jan, Feb, & March in Florida.
The SS spends those months in the garage.

Many, many quarter mile runs with a best of 12.28 on slicks.
It hasn't been on the track the last 2 years as I'm getting too old...LOL
Many, many spare parts new & used go with it.

Only the best oil used in the engine & automatic.
I've been using the Joe Gibbs 'Driven' super synthetic oils in it for the last few years.

The 4T45E had some 'blueprinting'' done with new Raybestos heavy duty frictions & steels 3 years ago.
A best MPH in the quarter mile of almost 114 on street tires after this was done.

I paid a 'detail' shop $1,200 last year to make it shine like new again.
It was my 70th birthday gift to myself...LOL

Come down to Pittsburgh this April to check it out.

Dave you should post it in the marketplace. But it’s a nice invitation to fastsuv for a visit in April, so I will leave this here.

No, it was an invitation for PulpFriction to come down from Ohio which is just a few miles from me in Pittsburgh
as he's looking for an automatic 'buggy' for his wife.

fastsuv is more than welcome to come down also as he's maybe 3-4 hours away from me, but I think he has enough HHRs...LOL
