I have noticed the same thing in our HHR. The wife is afraid it is going to stall. The RPM's don't seem to go up and down but the car definitly moves. Doesn't bother me as much as it does the wife but then again she drives it more than I do.

Hey, i've noticed this too. My wife asked if it was going to quit one day while sitting at a stop light. I think this is just the computer readjusting everything after running at speed for awhile. The tach doesn't seem to show anything of a surge that it feels like, soo evidently the computer is adjusting and not allowing the engine to stall or over rev. It does feel as if the engine has a miss, or is trying to roll forward to me too. I'm sure Chevy has no idea what it is, due to being hard to repeat this. Anyone hear of a fix, or adjustment, let us know.

I've experienced the same thing too. I come to a full stop, then feel the rear end kinda squat down as if it's ready to take off on its' own. It's a weird sensation...
