There must have been a intake hose change..

I've noticed some pics of air intake hoses look different then mine, I'm guessing GM made a change from the earlier model run ( mine was built near the end of the model run ). The air intake hose on my ( 2.4 ) looks kinda of insulated and more rigid then earlier models, here's a pic.

Good catch.
The info goes into the trivia bank for future ref!
Fifty years from now when folks are restoring HHRs, the triva bank wii be needed
Hmm late run vs early run....what are the differences? Anyone else catch anything?

That is what my stock intake hose looks like inside. The only difference being a flexible vinyl sheath placed over the outside. Looks like GM might have dropped the vinyl sheath on later production runs.

Holy Sheath! If you take the vinyl cover off from the stock intake hose, that's what it looks like...

Your right Mike, so either GM dropped the sheath or some GM worker bent over to tie his / her shoe and this one slipped by...

DARK AGE

Mine looked identical to yours and my 2.4L 2LT is also part of the later run. I say "looked" because the CGS replaced it.
