Thoughts on this ?

We had a new HHR come in the shop today. We did chrome side moldings, hitch, and wiring. I was wondering what everyone thinks about the moldings.

I like the chrome accents...but that's a little over the top even for me. Just my humble opinion though.

I my self like it. To me it makes the vehicle look longer , but I have learned never mind what others think as long as this is what you really want.

I think it add a touch of Class.

I hope they like it cause thats what counts but to me it just seems real out of place there.

I think it would look better with a pinstripe. But you are right, it is what the person wants, and thats what i shoot for .

I think it looks great, I would've added thinner chrome striping along the frone and back fenders though.

My thought(s): (you did ask us what we thought) looks like an after thought. Lets see, here is an extra piece of chrome and put it... ummm, ahhh, here, no, over there, no, ah next to---nooo, errrr, ok, ah, right here (there)!

That MOD is not for me.

I think full body pin stripping give a more complete look though.

I could dig a removable tow hitch though.

Initial reaction is No. But it could differ on a different color or perhaps the pic is not showing it to it's best advantage. Nice hitch. Gotta have someplace to mount the bikes.

With the doors being so flat and straight, I wondered if rubber trim was needed to protect them from door dings. However, I think the fenders are more vulnerable than the doors. I don't like the chrome either.

But, personally, I like how this car looks and really don't want to change it at all. My only regret is that I didn't wait for the 2007 model with the better warranty and new green color. Maybe in a couple of years I'll trade for a new and improved one!
