That's a good point about that oil hoarding disease

I have enough synthetic oil here right now for two years worth of oil changes (assuming oil changes twice a year).

They don't even offer oil rebates up here....we normally pay through the nose for oil (even dino), so when it goes on sale people jump on it.

Recently got 5 qts of PP for $20....that's a steal up here.

I've had the same question/issue with my Tire Pressure actually. The door panel says "35 psi" for cold, but my vehicle was delivered with more like 29-30psi and the tires "look" fine. They don't seem low at all. Isn't 35 psi kinda high in general? Also, make sure you're gauge is right. They do seem to swing all over the lot sometimes.

Change your own oil...there is no easier engine in the world to change your own oil than on the Ecotec

Same here. I keep all my records and just update as needed. This past weekend I did the oil/filter change, tranny drian/fill, tire rotation, K&N filter clean, on the wife's MPV.

This weekend, it will be the HHR's time for the oil/filter. Picked up the 5 gal jug at WalMart this weekend ($19.88), already had the Pure One filter.

I have found it's interesting to put the HHR up on ramps, the higher window sills and the 5speed make it very interesting to put your head out the window and control gas/brake/clutch all together.

I plan on taking photo's and a DITY for those interested in doing their own oil/filter changes. The HHR is amazingly simple.

Since our HHRs were "roomies" for awhile at Dover Chevy I can vouch that my tires were low also...the 16" calls for 30psi all around...I drove home with 24 in there Seems like the Dover boys do not keep a good eye on tire pressures 35 is not high for a 17" tire...very normal.

Your mpg should go up a bit with 35

The recommended pressure affects the handling of your vehicle that is why the manufacturer puts it there. Always run at least that. Don`t go by looks,Ford had a lot of Explorers end up on their roof because of improper tire pressures.

I run 32psi at all four corners in the stocker 16 inchers that came on Cobbs, my 1LT... door sticker recommends 30psi.
