Tires

So i know that the oem suck so what is everyone going to now. looking for the best bang for the buck? My wife has a jag X type with pirelli p zero nero's on it and shes got about 50k on her car and those tires look new little wear. Of course she doesn't drive like i do but still they are holding up good. Looked at BRIDGESTONE POTENZA G-009 . I really need a tire that will hold up in the corners cause i drive hard and my are almost gone.

What are your ideas?

I bought the Goodrich Traction T/As and love they way they handle. However, my anti-sway bar made cornering a whole lot easier.

+1 on the Traction T/A's. Bought the V-rated for the 17-in rim. Wal-mart had about the best deal I found. (don't have the sway bar though)

Here is a post about my tires

I ended up getting the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S, but there are some other good ones mentioned in this post here, https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/general-hhr-4/calling-all-members-12808/

I got my Pilots installed for $728 and change a little pricey for tires but well worth it, these tires are absolutely incredible in rain and snow, I havn't had mine on during a summer yet but I am sure they will do superb there too.

I also have the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S and they are EXCELLENT tires.

If you live in a DRY climate, check out the Yokohamas.

Going with Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S on the 20s
Have had this tire quite a few times and other than Mud or Snow it is a great all weather tire.
Side note: I run snows in the winter from Mid Nov to end of March

Haven't swapped out the tires on my HHR yet ... but ... put Michelin Harmony all-season touring tires on my '03 Impala. A bit on the expensive side but I L-O-V-E-D them! Excellent handling, little to no noticeable reduction in ride quality but overall performance was significantly better. Great all-weather performance -- wet and dry. Came with a 90K mile treadwear rating. When I traded in my Impala for my HHR, those tires had more than 40K miles on them and looked brand-spanking new. Definitely going to go with similar Michelin touring tires for my HHR!

I fitted a set of Goodyear Assurance TripleTred's about a month ago. A very noticable difference especially in the torrential downpours we get here on the coast.
