Been looking into a small 4x8 trailer to pull behind the HHR for help getting things home that will not fit in the HHR. So a trailer hitch will be need to be installed. However I have heard good things about installing the rear swaybar. My question is can you have both. Not sure if there is enough room for both or if they mount in the same area. THANKS

 

Yes you can. I have Both on mine.

 

The swaybar mounts to the moveable lower arms of the rear suspension.
A hitch mounts to the rigid underbody of the car.
They won't interfer with each other.

 

A word of Caution...

Go slow when choosing your Ball Mount configuration.
5" rise seems to be about right for most apps.
I bought the 11" oa. length version and it works fine.
I like the Curt ball mounts with a solid shank to weld on.
I also bought a 2" solid Stainless Steel Curt Ball.
Curt makes a good wiring harness as well.

Hmmmm .. I guess I like Curt ......

I will be installing my sway bar soon.
