bisho1p....

Yeah the dealer would NEED to lean that way to get the costs returned to them from GM. Obviously, GM would not pay for that type of repair under normal circumstances.

I wonder....GM now requires the original parts replaced under warranty to be returned to them (TSB regarding this was just issued 1-5-07). If GM analyzes and says no-no the dealer will eat the cost. In any event, glad you got the car back without any cost.

Just an update on the transmission replacemant. Got the car back last Tuesday. I only had it for 2 hrs when I noticed (after pulling into a parking spot) when I put in park it did not engage. The car started rolling back. I immediately called the service department and they told me to bring it in the next day. I did and they still have it today. They have been waiting on a gasket which seemed to be on back order. Found out this morning they located the gasket kit and it should be ready before the weekend.

Auto trans ? problem

I've been away due to job change and daughter grauation. I have a 2006 HHR 2lt with 23k and it seems that when I'm at a stop the tork converter wants to lockup. The car will fill like it wants to jump or feels like a jolt. It is not all ther time, but has been doing it for about a year. I can't get it to do it when I want. It seem to happen most when I get off the freeway and am at a long stoplight. ANY IDEA.

Thanks

Likely an issue with the tcc solenoid inside the trans. Should have a DTC code stored in the powertrain control module. Have it checked out under warranty.

I have a problem with my transmission. It is leaking Seems I have hit some thing and it caught the front lip and bent it. Now I need to find some way to see how much fluid I lost and how to replace it.
