Transmissions, any problems yet?

Has anyone experienced any problems with the HHRs transmission? Anything to be aware of?

I have had no problems with my A/T with 50k+, I shift it from L to I drive all the time at red line. I down shift it into I drive and stand on it to get more top speed also

If you have a A/T you should use it and use it often. If you want MPG then leave it in drive and say wish I had a M/T for more fun! Read the Owners Manual Page 2-29 [when driving on hilly, winding roads] or when you want it to go like passing or eng.braking when entering a curve and you want more power to exit out of it.

"I" is for Intermediate and limits to gears to 3rd and under, 4th being overdrive. "L" is for low and limits the transmission to 2nd gear and below.

Mine clicks under the car when moving the shifter...normal sounds? Don't remember it doing that when I had fewer miles on it...was silent afaik when it went into Drive, Reverse etc

More miles the more sounds it makes....dealing with the supercharger whistle now
