I'm interested in getting my HHR tuned, I need some help to understand what is meant when people talk about intake (do they mean CAI or do they mean intake manifold 2.4)

Can someone help in this area.

My HHR has the GMPP catback, airraid intake CAI, and wondering if I should get the 2.4 intake installed or with the tune it's not necessary.

When hearing someone mention simply an "intake", I would make the assumption that they are referring to the air intake (before the air-flow sensor) portion of the intake system, not the intake manifold- Do you own a 2.2l?

 

Some have installed the 2.4 manifold on their 2.2 and when tuned have some good results.

 

I thaught so, it was the 2.4 intake manifold.

I guess I will get the intake manifold done first and then the tune.

I have replaced, header, GMPP catback, airaid intake next the 2.4 manifold and last the tune.
