The wait is KILLING me!

I keep lurking around here & on the net searching for info of if & when we will get an HHR SS or some steriod version of the vehicle. I want to go to the dealership now & order one, Sunbust Orange, 2.4-5 spd & loaded w/ all the goodies I like. So tell me should I go ahead & do it or does anyone think I'm waiting on something we'll never get? It'll really tic me off if I get one now & then a sport version shows up 8 or 9 months later.

I think it will be at least a year.....all talk about a SS is pure speculation.

i say just wait. You dont want to have to deal with a trade-in later on if they do release an SS version.

Last I heard.....it's coming as a performance version in 08'.

But it will be a limited production version and allotted to dealers. So, a dealer mark-up is possible.....kind of like the Solstice and Sky.

Might be able to find out more on this coming tuesday....having breakfast with some of the engineers.

Good luck, with whatever you decide.

I didn't know the Solstice & Sky were limited production. Anyway, the coming SS I'm sure will be way cool but maybe I'll get the watered down version & call it a day. I've already got my hands full w/ an Integra Type R I'm building on.
I drove an HHR back in June 06. I thought the little things were way cool to start w/. My truck got totalled out (T-boned! ouch) so Enterprise had a low model I drove for 50 days. Me & the wife took it on vacation & fell in love w/ it! It's so unlike me to like a car like that cause I have always detested the Chrysler PT's. Who knows, maybe in the near future I'll be on here showing off my new ride. Thanks for the input.

I'm waiting for the day they announce it.
Until then I'll just have to put up with my 98 Z28.
It's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it.

So rumors have it...the HHR SS will be very limited production?

Like only the dealers will have an inside line on them? Hmmmm. GM should make a ton of them b/c they would sell a ton of them imho.

PSSSSST! Hey GM! Guess what? you can actually turn a profit by making vehicles people want to buy! The HHR is a hit, don't you think you'd sell a performance version? They should make least as many as PT Turbos.

I sure haven't heard much news about it since the spy vid hit back in Nov.
I'm sure when the SS finally rolls Im gonna be going gonna wantin to be in it!
