Smile we'd like to say hello, we're new

Hi everyone :) My name is Jen and my husband and I ordered an 07 HHR 1 LT recently and then found this site. It seems to be chocked full of good information and a lot of creative owners!

This is our 10th Chevy between the two of us but our first HHR. Our dealer could not locate 'the perfect HHR' and we didn't want to settle for a different color or options, so we ordered one! We waited about 5 weeks from order to delivery (actual assembly to delivery was 2 weeks). It was well worth the wait!!!! Sunburst Orange, black interior, manual tranny, moonroof, head-curtain airbags, ABS, fog lamps (basically it matches my Cobalt!).

As far as mods, we already added 20% tint to the front two windows, exhaust tip and hitch. He'd like to get some retro wheels and raised white letter tires, but I'm not sure... I would like some ghost flames though...

A request, please = if anyone knows where we can get a new all-chrome shift knob/stalk, please let us know! The stock one is okay, but it's half-plastic.

Thanks for reading and we'll see you on the road!

Welcome to the site. Glad to hear you're enjoying your new ride.

I'm currently driving an auto, '07 Fall Edition named Grimm, so I can't really help with the new shifter knob.

to the forum from a fellow Sunburst Orange 5sp 2.2L owner. I've never thought about doing the chrome shifter stalk, so I don't have any ideas on where to get one. Some members with the 5 speed have opted to install a short shifter, so you might want to do a search with those search words. I believe the one from the cobalts works, but I could be wrong.

I have considered the ghost flames and RWL tires. Unfortunately, there are no RWL tires available that will fit in the wheel well without some modding to the fenderwells, and I'm not going to mess with that. There are many more wheels available than there were when I purchased mine 18 months ago though.

Here's a little something I did up adding ghost flames and RWL tires using my paint shop pro program though.
