OP has not posted a photo of where the leak is. He described it being at the weld of the downpipe-to-flange.

It’s some where in the weld from the down pipe to the 3 bolt flange in this photo

Oh, ok. So it is on a straight pipe. That's pretty ugly.

They should have welded a 2-bolt flange onto the resonator. If you have to replace the downpipe in the future, you'll have to pay a welder again. Or buy a correct resonator.

Sorry guys, between work and a few other things I havent been able to reply.

Catman HHR, a magnet wont stick to the system at all, I would hope.. ZZP wouldnt use the cheaper end of stainless, all their stuff has been top quality that i have seen personally and read about on here.

The new welder called me today, supposed to go in sometime today and hes gonna reweld that area. Im hoping once its redone, the sound goes away, if it doesnt I know to look else where, but at least ill know those spots in the weld that is leaking exhaust, wont be leaking any more.

Oh yeah just FYI, this being a 3" aftermarket exhaust.. It hangs a tad bit lower then the stock system. Plus the car being slightly lowered.. you really have to watch for potholes etc, so you dont damage it.

Ill grab a pic in a little bit, but you can deffinitley see the resonator now, when you couldnt before.

It all takes the same path, using same hangers, i mean i also gets, its cause its a lot bigger then stock so its gonna be down some from the car..

And im Back.... Ok, he needs the Downpipe to come off of the car, going to cut the weld, clean it up and reweld it correctly. While looking at it, we both noticed, that gasket that goes from headers to downpipe is bad, frayed at one of the bolts, just flapping in the wind lol..

So this week on my day off, im gonna take off downpipe, hes gonna reweld it and ill put on new gasket.. so ill have a update this week hopefully.
