a lot of people say that....IMO when it comes to location, you pick your poison...

southeast-hurricanes mean rebuilding houses

midwest- tornadoes(depending on where in midwest) mean rebuilding your house after you find it

north midwest/west- unbareably cold

south/southwest- hurricanes/unbareably hot

west coast south-earthquakes

west coast north-constant rain

tornado alley is self explanatory

so I would rather shovel snow than rebuild in most cases

and I realize that I am exaggerating a little bit

Shovel on badassbowtie! I'll take my Hurricanes. Haven't lost a house yet in 30 years. Many hurricanes and 2 direct hits. Minimal damage but lots of Mother Nature firewood to cut up.

I have a really fancy snowblower too.... in a weird way I look foward to use it, but I really would like a 4X4 truck(for like under $2000) to get me through the winter

Yea, that "look foward to use it" may wear off, as your winter wears on..

Here's a fancy one imo, with BB Chevy power.......

You can keep that up there. Here in SW Virginia things are pretty quiet most of the time. Did hav a freak wind last july but plenty of free firewood for the firepit. I think I will stay around here that looks too cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
