Utility room and gas mileage for me. When I load it up with fishing gear and coolers it's my little freedom machine.

The seats are more comfortable than most I've sat in, but not the most comfortable. It's styiling was the reason we got it (and it's a GM)... I've always loved Station Wagons... it was either a Volvo wagon, Scion xB or the HHR. Guess which won?

Now with me I had to adapt to the seating. There is one place I feel right but that is it. I wish it had a telescopic wheel as by the time I get my legs right the wheel is more forward than I like. The Telescopic wheel like in the Malibu would give me the options I like.

It is not bad just not as good as my Sonoma was.

The looks of the Panel coupled with the utility of a mini van, make an ideal package. It is easy to personalize the car without spending yourself into a coma. Did I mention that I like the looks of the panel?

Shape, fuel economy, small windows (I like it!), friendly to customize

I bought my HHR because it is so blatantly different from most everything else on the road, the PT Cruiser notwithstanding. The HHR is by no means a high-quality vehicle - but then again, no vehicle under $25,000 is high-quality by definition.

Great looking family friendly utilitarian high MPG towing retro vehicle.

Just bought a new 8 foot fiberglass stepladder-fit in nicely inside-still has 1 rear passanger seat open for my kid. I had people actually applaud me in the LOWEs parkinglot as I was putting the ladder in & closed the hatch.... Would have been a good you tube vid.

Best design feature? Big on the inside, small on the outside.

If you had asked the same question about a Yugo, the answer would the the rear window defroster keeps your hands warm when your pushing it.
