What color is this?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...pe=b&make=CHEV

This seems like a really good deal. Its equipment is similar to my same-year 2LT, except it comes with side air bags and didn't have the "smoker's package" to start. Mine is black, and this shares the "ebony" leather interior with mine, however the external color is blue. The pictures make it look almost black, and I wonder if anyone has pictures of HHRs with this color code in different light that shows its shade of color better.

I wish I still needed another HHR. I feel that a moderately used, well-priced, loaded manual 2LT is the gem in the lineup. No turbo to break, heated leather seats, no automatic transmission pin to jam, best power combination short of the SS.

Looks to be Imperial Blue. It is not the amethyst they have listed.

Yeah looks like the imperial blue to me too, theres plenty pics in my gallery of it.
It looks almost black at night, but the sun or flourescent lights really bring out the metallic. Twice now people have come up to me at a gas station at night commenting on how great the colour looks.
I was actually looking to buy a black one, but then I saw the imperial blue one beside it, and I was sold. :)

EDIT: looked up the VIN on the compnine site, and it does indeed list that hhr as colour code 37U, which is imperial blue
Its a well-optioned 2LT 2.4L with a manual tranny, very nice and somewhat rare.

I did look it up before starting this thread (didn't help)!

37U EXTERIOR COLOR,PRIMARY (37U)
EXTERIOR COLOR,PRIMARY,LIGHT MESA BROWN (37U)
PRIMARY COLOR EXTERIOR, IMPERIAL BLUE MET (37U)

That's what it said for the color, which got me even more confused than I before I looked it up! That's why I started this thread - looking it up on compnine with the VIN made things worse! So, the color IS the imperial blue metallic. So, what's up with the light mesa brown?

SOMEWHAT rare? More like needle in haystack! I just had someone drive a 2006 that was optioned like this from Pennsylvania to Louisiana, with eventual delivery to Texas. GM made hardly any 2LT manual transmission HHRs with the sunroof and heated leather seats. I believe they had to be special-ordered to get the high end options with the "lowly" manual transmission.

The 37U code may have represented brown on a previous vehicle, I think GM reuses these codes.
