Yes, the notice was broadcast later . No problems, and now we know the system works.

I guess it is better to be warned when there is no danger than to NOT be warned when there is!

@oldblue, The guy I went and had coffee with the other day and I use to rent a house together less than 1/2 km from that plant! I remember one night of drinking and putting green "Glow Sticks" in his work boots.... poor bastard woke during the night to go pee and freaked right out... aah good times.

Been too busy driving "The Big Truck" out there in these freaky storms we have been having and dealing with "The New Gen" of drivers.
Tuckingeek- Thanks man, you understand. Part of life, but still never gets any easier. Keep the shiny side up man.
PS: Sorry to learn of you losing 2 bros. I can relate to that.

Blue- We had our nuclear warning siren go off yesterday, but it was for the near by tornadoes. South of us got really hammered.

It came up on another forum I'm on.
Greybeard- Must have been a lot of that. Pretty active day.

No Salt here just a scrub
Cleaned up the used sneakers and I'm ZR XL rated. Ready for the "brickyard".

Been over a year since I've posted anything in the forums.... But I still have my HHR & plan to keep it for decades to come barring a severe accident of course. In the past 6 weeks (finishing up today), I've had new wheel hubs installed (mechanic shop installed - unknown brand they had them in stock) 6 weeks ago, I changed oil, oil filter, & air filter (Mobile 1 full synthetic & K&N both filters) 2 weeks ago, and I FINALLY installed my Moog Lower Control Arms today, the rear bushings on both original control arms were shot. The same mechanic shop (that installed the hubs) said the control arms were worn out, not reusable, & tried to sell me a new pair for $700 (installed), I'm guessing they just didn't want to install new bushings.... I also ordered new pair of Monroe OESpectrum rear shocks today that I will be installing Wednesday, or Sunday. Got a bunch more to do to the front suspension in the next month...

The "road noise" that started when PepBoys installed new house brand tires 2 years ago, disappeared with the new wheel hubs... makes me wonder if PepBoys somehow messed up the wheel hubs when they installed the tires ???? It's as quiet now as it was with the old worn out Michelin tires.

I caught a break in the weather, 40 F and no rain, so I went to adjust the rear drum brake shoes, and low and behold the OEM FE3 rear shocks are leaking a touch , not bad for 118,000 miles at 9 years old.
So I’ve ordered a set of KYB rear shocks they should be here by Friday.
Then after a good cleaning and adjustment the brake shake at highway speed is gone, I’m waiting till spring to install the 11.6 inch SS rotors and caliper brackets.

Because the AC Delco was nearly twice the price and I had KYB shocks on Oldblue for 8 years and they stood up when they started to leak and replaced them at no charge.
I don’t know where either brand are manufactured and really don’t care, I’m on a fixed budget now that I’m retired and still disabled.

Today, Toughie crossed the 158k milestone.
Repairing the oil cooler leak this weekend. Got the o-rings last Friday.
Then it's back to work on the 3 bar grille.
Have I ever mentioned that I really like this vehicle.
