The fence in the back ground the posts are 6x6 in 12 inch holes 54 inches deep back fill with traffic bond gravel and cement wet and compacted every 6 inches as we filled the post holes to the surface, I don’t think they’re gonna move or frost heave , ever!
I tend to build things to last , my Dad taught me, If it’s worth doing, do it right , make it strong , do it once.

John- Been a long time. Maybe you remember me from that different place. I remember when I was gonna make a grille like yours.

Good to see you still around.

I put up a new railing, new 6x6 posts , go big or go home , right , the posts are to match our fence with 6x6 posts and 1 x 6 fence boards, I’ll finish the railing and privacy fence tomorrow
Here’s a shot of our fence same brown wood pressure treated.
Blue- Turned our great. Perfect spacing on the decking. I gotta get on my deck. I haven't had a chance to even start yet,

Bonez , nice polishing job! Those lights look like new!

DW, it sucks to get furloughed, hopefully things will get back to normal soon!

Sleeper , seems our Dad’s has the same ideals, about teaching us!

My Father would have been 96 today, and he’s been gone 50 years on the 28th , so today , I’ll pick up a coffee and go to the cemetery for a visit and clean up the headstone. He would have loved an HHR, he was enthusiastic about fuel mileage and would be amazed at the twin overhead camshafts.

Blue- Yep, seems we both had good teachers. Pretty cool for us. 96 huh. my Dad would have been about 97 (passed Nov 1st 1979). He was 56, His headstone is about 700 miles away. So no visits for a while now.
But agree my Dad would have really liked the DOHC engines we have too. He loved his Ford trucks, but his cars were always Chevies. (go figure)..
