Mounted the stereo mic in front of the steering wheel finally after putting in a new head unit a couple of years ago.
The mount was a visor sun clip that I filled with epoxy and then drilled and tapped to secure on the steering column cover.
Still have to paint it black.
Love using the stereo system via bluetooth for phone conversations.

excellent idea there! Pretty ideal. I had a Motorola Bluetooth one that went on the visor of my Saturn but I hated that it made that permanent impression with its garage door opener clip! They don’t tell you it’s gonna do that. I may eventually do this. Thanks!
Yesterday, I applied carbon fibre wrap to the silver plastic strips in the interior door panels, and this morning, they are bubbling and in places falling off, they are crunched up in a ball of vinyl in the trash. I follow the directions, cleaned the plastic, used my window tint spatula to workout any air bubbles, I used my heat gun on low, for the bends and corners and they still Bubble and peel.
So, in the next few days I’ll sand and prep and spray paint them .

what kind of vinyl? just curious... I used 3M on my tailgate trim and Vvivid on my marker lamps (and a project in my house) and they're doing great
