Take a look under the rear,, You should get familiar with the underside.
I stood and watched Mechanic replace the front and rear suspension, and I also ordered the new parts. I can assure you, my new parts were front struts with springs, and rear shocks without springs, which were identical to what was taken off of it. There were no springs added or removed or even attached to the shocks in the rear.
am I missing parts that weren’t installed ever ??
Today , absolutely nothing , two days of replacing the front hubs and the passenger side LCA just about killed me, I will tackle the driver’s side later in the week

planetrj- If yours has NO REAR Coil Springs like the perfect image Old Blue posted, your car would be very low in rear & bottoming on the shocks or bump stops..
Best to take another look.
CC Rider- Yes, I didn't even start it. pulled it outta park & gave it a push.. That was the extent of the HHR fun.. LOL
I used to do hot water tanks very quickly. This one, (50 gal), once removed, I then built a base to get the tank off the concrete floor & insulate it from floor. Then some plumbing. I do enjoy soldering.
Everyone is getting these flexable lines. Not me, I hard lined it, 3/4" copper & sweated the fittings & filled it, wired in the 240V & in short order magically had hot water again..
looks like I waited too long to get the black/clear corner headlamps they're out of stock on both CarID and ebay... CarID says 'until further notice'... I hope they become available again and they haven't been discontinued

I agree with you BOTH 100%. no doubt. I just hope that didn’t come across as if I’m a complete dope about cars. I assumed all cars had springs with the strut tower and/or shocks, but it was very strange when I didn’t see it with the shock. Then again he was fast and I didn’t really have a ton of time to inspect everything while he was doing it and showing me the old shocks.
This is sort of a separate question semi-related....
Since having the new struts/shocks added, the back end seems bouncier than it was before. Is that normal because they’re new, or is it possible that the shocks have a bead leak?
I noticed that when Mechanic was Removing the tie strap over the top of the shock (right as he was installing them), that the hydraulic arm didn’t “pop out” with back pressure as I thought it would.
Is that normal?
