Ronnie, don’t drop your phone in that hot tub!

Today, I got to spend an hour downstairs, cleaned up my plumbing and electrical parts bins, I’m at the hospital now waiting for Sweetie to finish her appointment.
It actually started last week. I was hoping the new ignition switch might resolve it. It didn't.

I'm an old pro with my phone in the hot tub. And having a pop socket on the back helps keeping it from slipping.

Hope sweeties appointment went well.

They are saying replace Lower Control Arm Bushings...so am I to assume I just need to replace the bushings on each side or do I need to replace the Control Arms too?

You take the arms out to replace the bushings, so change them and you get new ball joints. If the ball joints are good then just the rear bushings

If you’re changing the starter, change the oil pressure switch, they are known to leak oil, and are easy to change with the starter out of the way.

Covid vaccination done, first one anyway.

At Rock Auto, the good MOOG bushings, the problem-solver ones with the zinc coating (anti-rust), are $28.

The MOOG control arm is $95, which includes the ball joint and two bushings.

Pressing the rear bushing out and the new one in requires some kind of press. Its much easier to replace the whole control arm.

Start spraying the engine cradle cage nuts with liquid wrench/aerokroil/PB Blaster a few days in advance to loosen any corrosion.

So does it sound like a starter issue to you? The key kinda sticks when turned making it try to turn over...over and over again. I have to turn the key back for it to stop. It doesn't do it everytime...but it's frequent.

What exactly happens when it "tries" to turn over? Is it not engaging the gear? Is the engine turning over at all? Any starter motor running noise?

I have tried numerous times to duplicate what it's been doing while recording it. Typical car problem...acts fine when you need it to perform the issue. I am not certain the answers to your questions. I'm sorry... I will just try to capture the issue another time and hold off on purchasing anything in regards to this problem.

I already fell asleep with phone in hand on the Rockauto site...body is telling me it's time for bed.

If the key sticks in the start position, that isn’t the starter, either lock cylinder, which you had replaced, or the ignition switch itself.

Evening all. Just a ride to fill up my HHR !
And a BS session with the owner, Have dealt wit Joe for gas and his son on repairs for over 25 years so I think I trust them lol
On the home front had a family Face Time chat for the gender reveal of my son's in Ct. baby !
The baby is a boy :) and my other son in Me. is having a boy :) so out of 7 grand kids 6 will be boys and only 1 girl :O Guess she will be spoiled rotten lol
And #2 shot on Thursday ! I was going to hold off on the shot but after talking with several people who have had them including my 90 y/o Mother in law , figured I would give it a shot.
So far only side effect from shot #1 was a third arm growing out of my back, but that has now shrunk to showing just 1 finger :O
You all have a good night
