Today we are going to cruise somewhere and stop for a coffee, Sweetie is restless, 7 more days of her chemo pills , and she’s finished her chemotherapy.
I can't remember if I mention that one day a couple of weeks ago it was over 70° f and got 9.5" of snow the next day! I took a pic before it was over...
Printing is the cheap easy part of 3D printing. Without a background in CAD, building the model will usually be too difficult or too expensive. With a background in CAD, one is in a better position to guess whether building your own model will be worth the trouble.
Anyone who wants to give it a try might check out Sketchup Free, or Google “best free solid modeling software.”
Worked on the inlet tube today Mounting Brackets Heat Wrap Now need to fabricate an airbox
Of course, now that I can see my cam cover, there is more work/play to be done.
The best part, at least for me, is that I only have about $50.00 invested (so far).

Keeps me out of the bars.
I'm glad that I'm retired.
Changed some stuff on the waterfall. New favorite tool is rhe hot glue gun. $40 for ryobi cordless at home depot. Used with the dewalt adapter and 5ah battery lasts forever. You don't even need that much glue on stuff. It bonds everything!
Trimmed the empty fog light button for the bass knob.

I agree. It's great for prototyping or one-off parts, but there is no economy of scale. My niece wanted me to print out a personalized pacifier for her daughter's newborn baby, until I told her how much it was going to cost (basically, she wanted 'pink silk' PLA, so she'd have to buy the spool) and she balked at the $21 for the material. It's not like I'm ever going to print anything in pink silk, lol.
