What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
More sound barrier in place, going out this afternoon to do more.

Someone asked about added weight, somewhere around 125 or so pounds, maybe a little more when done.
These boxes are about 55 pounds (shipping label weight), and contain 18 sheets that are 18"X 32" about 72 sq. ft. each box.

I have used up one full Bulk box and am about to open the second Bulk box now. I also bought a smaller "trunk" box that has 5 sheets (20 sq. ft.)
About the weight of hauling a Teenager around.
I think the Blower will more than compensate for the added weight tho.
The advantage is making the HHR alot quieter, less rattles and will feel more solid all around. Not to mention the Audio will sound much better inside. The doors will feel solid like higher end cars that already include alot more sound proofing than GM gave the HHR. The roof on the HHR had 3 tiny paper thin strips of sound proofing on it, Not nearly enough to Quiet a car.
Before

After, and I still need to cut strips for the perimeter.

Tap on my quarter panels, floor, or my roof and it's a nice solid Thump sound now, before it sounded, well go out and tap your knuckles on yours, and you'll hear how its sounds.

In general this will help make my HHR Panel feel and sound like a more expensive car that they add more soundproofing too straight from the factory.
Not for everyone of course, but I felt it's worth it.

"KUDOS" for taking on this project and doing something to shut off a lot of unwanted Noise in the HHR.
I would have Gladly paid for a Quality Factory Sound Package if they had offered one.
The other area is "Road Noise" on other then smooth paved roads.
Mine is whisper quiet on new Quailty Asphated Hiway, but turns to a very Irritating Rackett when you go back to the old paving that has had 3-6 winters of studded tires running over it.
