Oldblue, check out DipYourCar.com or search for it on YouTube. I've only found black plasti-dip at hardware stores, then you have to thin it down to spray it. DYC sells gallons pre thinned and ready to spray

Took the HH into the dealer today to get a replacement key made. Unfortunatly the key copy failed to work on the first two attempts using the old key to trace it.

The third attempt they used the vin code which worked but it's really hard to pull out now.

A few guys that worked at the dealer thought it was the nicest Hhr to come through which made me feel good about all my work.

Well, I gotta THANK BunglerHHr here. THANKS!

He PM'ed me a link to a ctraigslist ad for a set of HHR direct bolt on Lambo Door kit.

They come with the shocks , bolts, Door wire extensions. The seller Never installed them, he bought them a couple years ago, his HHR was hit and went into the bodyshop for some work, when he got it back, he never got around to installing them.

He is now Trading in his HHR and decided to sell the Kit.

About a 4 hour drive away so he is getting me a shipping price.

Seller emailed me the PDF install instructions. Lambo Doors Inc. is all they have on them Brand wise. Instructions claim a 5-9 hour install time.

When I cut keys, I run them against a wire wheel on my bench-grinder.. It helps knock off the sharp edge & they work easier..

Just sayin....

Thanks, Good tip on the open hood. I did not even think about that, so you can't have the hood open and the doors open and up at the same time huh?
(Hmm, may be time to do the Reverse opening hood in the Spring when I install these then.)

The PDF install directions he sent me only say, Lambo Doors Inc. at the beginning and at the end. So as far as titanium goes, I don't know.

Google searches for "Lambo Doors Inc." only seems to lead me too, "Vertical Doors INC."

The instructions show a Red Toyota to demo the install, ring a bell?

Sellers AD stated - "I have a direct bolt on Lambo Door kit for a Chevy HHR comes with shocks, bolts, door wire extensions, I purchased to put on mine but never installed to many other projects going on."

I talked to him on the phone, and he said when he bought them, his HHR got hit and after it was fixed he just never got around to installing them. Been sitting in his garage a couple years now and he is trading in his '07 HHR on a new car so he put em up for a quick sale.

I got them for a very good price, so can't complain. Vertical Doors Inc, wants anywhere from $1,199.00 - $1495.00 depending on where you buy from, and even calling Vertical Doors Inc. the other day to ask IF the Cobalt bolt ons were the Same as the HHR's they offered me a "today only sale" of 50% off the $1,495.00 price, Plus the added Shipping.

I don't have anyone Sponsoring Morticia so I can't just shell out $750.00 - $1,495.00 on hinges. Gotta go with what my Wallet can afford.

They won't go on until After the Supercharger is all installed, i'll post some install pics this Spring when I install them.

Jeff, Did your installer have to Trim/Roll the HHR Fenders at the door/fender gap area ? And did he have to extend the doors wiring harnesses ?
(some cars need one or the other done or both to them)

Thanks again for the Congrats.
