1999 Mercury Grand Marquis

It went under Cash for Clunkers. That was one hell of a car, too bad it got smashed. It would have been ideal for a large family. But they don't pay $5,000 for a 10 year old trade in.

Traded in a 1993 Merc Capri with 130,000. Originally bought the Capri (in 2008) because the wife "just had to have it". After the summer was over, she relegated it to me and she took over the Jeep GC. At 6'1" and 220#, I looked like I was on my 2nd or 3rd mid-life crisis and couldn't afford anything any better.
Capri is gone, I have the Jeep and the wife drives the HHR.

Didn't exactly trade my car.
My wife's 99 Cadillac Eldorado's engine went boom last February. Luckily we had purchased a used car warranty with the car so it was fixed but it took 2 months to get fixed.
Wife needed a car to drive so the first week she rented a new HHR from Enterprise and had her drive my 2007 Ford Focus SES.
Liked the HHR so much I went out and found my white 2007 2LT the next week and bought it used.
Went with three cars for a while but immediately put the Eldo up for sale after it was fixed as I had lost all confidence in it even with a brand new engine. The Eldo sold very quickly but my wife was not happy driving either my Focus or the HHR that much. Put my Focus up for sale and eventually sold it in June. Wife then went out and leased a beautiful white Mercedes Benz C300. Man do I like that car but do really miss my Focus as I had it lowered and it was really fun to drive but alas the wife is the main bread winner in my household so...

I didn't trade anything in for my HHR. I was driving a corolla before but I totaled it. So I did put a little cash down from the insurance settlement.
