What goop/glue remover to use?

The goop remover I used on my HHR affects the paint. Does anyone know of a name brand of goop or glue remover that doesn't dull or affect the paint. I don't know the brand of glue used.

Depends on what you are trying to remove. I've used WD40 to remove adhesive left from stickers, emblems, trim etc. When you're done you just have to remove the oily residue with some type of soap/detergent.

WD40 works great as db/sb states - and Lighter fluid works well on some adhesives.

I used Glue B Gone to remove residue from the dealer nameplate that I removed because it looked idiotic and I don't like promoting dealerships good or bad!
Glue B Gone did not affect the paint at all and very easily removed the residue. My car is Victory Red.

I have used Goo Gone in the past, it did not affect the exterior paint. What exactly are you removing and are we talking exterior paint and not a dyed panel?

The Goo Gone is what I used not Glue B Gone as I stated earlier and it worked beautifully. Just make sure you clean it off with fresh water afterward!

Citrus Cleaners work well too but you should use soapy water and rinse after using.
The orange oils smell gets overpowering if in a confined area.
