I gave up a 2004 Grand Am, which my wife loved. Replaced the brakes once a year. After 3 years I had enough of that so we got a 07 SOM HHR.

"Gave up" a Pontiac Montana that was demolished while parked in front of my house by a drunk driver.

Gave up 2 cars

I gave up a 97 Grand Prix GT (just shy of 200K on the clock) - it was the sacraficial trade. We loved that car but it was a 2 door, and already having a 2 year old daughter and a son due in December, it was time to part with the coupes for now...

The other one I "gave up" just because it made sense was a 94 Grand Am GT. This thing was / is a tank. I don't need it anymore so I sold it outright. It had <100K when I bought it and upon our parting had 244K without anything major needing done.

I still have my other toy (1985 Fiero GT - getting an LS1 motor swap when I can find time).

I absolutely love my HHR, and living in the NE I have come to truly love the remote start and the heated seats (or the "butt warmers" as the Mrs. calls them ).
