General HHR Discuss anything related to the Chevy HHR that doesnt seem to fit into the more specific categories below.

What kind of car did you give up for your HHR?

Always liked Imperial Blue Metallic. Gave this one up, too.

2008 smart
Had 246,000 miles and too many computer problems. Drove the LR Discovery for a bit until I found my HHR.

The different colored front end was from an altercation with a large Deer. I drove away, he didn't make it...

Mine was a 1998 S10 LS, & I got my 08 Panel 2LT, back in 09, still loving it..

But still like the chevy S10's too.

didn't give it up, but retired it... the Monte Carlo in my signature was my daily for 17+ years, but its 305 had done its job, well over 250K but it's barely runs now... I've got a 350 block sitting in the back of my van to someday rebuild for a heart transplant

had a 2003 pontiac vibe gt. it was the 6 speed manual with the 2zz yamaha motor that's from the toyota matrix xrs and matrix xrs. peppy car but no torque at all. they only made a few of these for pontiac and a coupl years before switching to a crappier motor setup. the 2zz is a 1.8l with a 9500 rpm redline lol.

Talking

I'm in the process of giving up my 2014 Dodge Charger R/T AWD,

which happens to have a serious mod or two under the hood.

It's a beast, but just too expensive to drive and doesn't handle nearly as well on our two-lane country roads as the SS. I'm in the process of selling it.

I bought the SS to be my daily driver, and really glad I did.

Other than a few LEDs, the only mod I've done to the SS is a new sound system. The ability to haul cargo and tools, and go fast when I want to, plus the admittedly weird but cool styling make it damn near perfect for me!
