Current reading is exactly 30.0 MPG with 5700 miles on an '07 1LT with the 2.2 engine.

Our two week old 2007 Silver LS with the 2.2 and auto has just over 600 miles on her now. In heavy start and stop Austin, Texas traffic with the A/C running full time actual mpgs as of this morning are up to 25.8...I'm very happy considering my other ride is a 1984 Chevy K5 blazer full size with working A/C and a small V8 that gets about 11 on the best of days.

Looks like the 2.2's are pretty consistent on the excellent fuel economy.

Copied from Gas Buddy...mpg is doing the math, not the DIC. Right now the DIC says 30.9 I did not reset it this time after filling...I'm impressed!

With 2000 miles on my 2007, 2.4 automatic with 17 inch wheels, I am getting 26-28 mpg local short trip driving and 29- 31 on the highway running at about 62 miles per hour, not bad but not great considering its compact size . My 12 year old 4 cylinder 5 speed Saturn will still get 40 mpg highway at 62 miles per hour. Maybe after more break in miles our HHR's mileage will improve.

Thumbs up

Yes, but the laws of physics still apply... HHR is heavier and presents more wind resistance. For what it is, I think the HHR... your HHR... is getting respectable mpg

My combined highway/city gas mileage is a little over 28 mpg. I drive about 65 on the interstate and usually use the cruise control.

I'm completely satisfied with that.

My '07 LS has just under 4000 mi, I'm averaging 27.5 in normal driving, and 33.5 on the highway.
